From our Pastor
If you have ridden by the new property lately, you will notice that work has finally begun on the clearing. I know some of you are probably saying, “finally!” I can relate. When Sherrie and I built our second house, it seemed to take forever. We had issue after issue that seemed to slow the process down, but in the end, we loved our house. That’s how it will be when we have our first service at our new campus. Let me encourage you to continue to pray for our consultant, builder, and architect as we go through this process. Pray that we will continue to find ways to cut our expenses. Pray that we will be able to witness to those whom our Lord will bring to work on His project. And pray that we will be of one heart and one mind as a family of faith! Easter Sunday is April 4. We are praying and planning for a great day with over 2,000 in attendance, but we can’t do that without you. Over the next several weeks, you will be hearing about how you can get involved in helping us have one of the biggest days ever at Northside! Just think – if each of us brought at least one unchurched or de-churched friend, we would have well over 2000! That Sunday, I will begin a new series that we have entitled “Got Questions?” We will answer some of the basic questions that people have today: Can I believe in the Resurrection? Is Jesus the only way to heaven? Can I trust the Bible? If there is a God, then why is there so much suffering? How can a loving God send anyone to hell? We will have three incredible services with no LIFE Groups on Easter Sunday, morning so hopefully you will help us by serving in a ministry that Sunday. On May 23, we are having a One Day Crusade with Tony Nolan, one of the most gifted harvest evangelists in America today. We need you to help us have 1,500 people attend on Sunday morning, and at least 700 on Sunday evening, to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Wouldn’t it be a tragedy to have a friend or relative end up in hell simply because you didn’t invite them to a service that could change their life? You will be hearing much more about this special one day event in the month to come, but start now praying for 50 to give their lives to Christ, follow Him in baptism, and get plugged in to the Northside family. Excited about what He is doing,

Pray for our South Asia Team!
March 10–20
Northsiders will travel on our fifth trip to the Unreached People Group (UPG) that our family of faith has adopted in South Asia. By definition, a UPG is a distinct ethno-linguistic group where there are not enough Christian believers to effectively evangelize their own group. Our team will share the gospel in villages, as well as conduct a training conference for local pastors and their wives.

Food from the Heart: March 27
What happens on March 27? On March 27, hundreds of people serving together will collect food at grocery stores across the greater Columbia area. Everyone from ages 5–105 is encouraged to get involved! At each grocery store, a team of four people will gather to serve during one of three shifts: Shift 1 Shift 2 Shift 3 9 a.m.–12 p.m. 12–3 p.m. 3–6 p.m.
What happens with the collected food? After the food is collected, we will need volunteers to help sort the donations. Starting Monday, March 29, volunteers will gather at Harvest Hope Food Bank during shifts (8 a.m.–12 p.m. and 12:30–3 p.m.) to sort the food. Who will receive the donated food? All of the food donated will go directly to mission outreach programs and food banks in the Midlands. I want to be involved! What next? • To be involved in collection: Every LIFE Group will be adopting stores. Sign up with your LIFE Group to help cover your store(s). • To be involved in sorting: Sign up in your LIFE Group to volunteer at Harvest Hope Food Bank. • If you are interested in participating and are not a member of a LIFE Group, please contact Cindy Barnett in the church office: 461-0093 or cbarnett@northsidebaptist.org.

Church Directory Update
Our church directory is underway! Due to the extended photo sessions over Thanksgiving and the holidays, the directory has been slightly delayed. The projected delivery date for the finished directories will be in late April. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work diligently to create a directory that truly reflects the nature and focus on our family of faith. We will provide updates as new information is made available.
