Northside Briefing Next sunday, september 19, at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary, join us for updates from our stewardship, Human Resource, and Future Development ministries and hear a godly challenge from Pastor Rocky! Immediately following the briefing at 5:30 p.m. there will be a Deacon ordination service ordaining Phil stark. Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser The students are having a fundraiser at o’Charley’s in lexington on saturday, october 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. students will be selling tickets for $5 a piece. Please come out to support our students as they work serving you pancakes to raise money for their Fall Retreat! Prepurchase tickets now from any participating student or student leader, or purchase tickets on sunday mornings starting next sunday, september 19. New LIFE Group! Beginning today, Becoming One will meet in the CFC Parlor. led by Kevin Kirkus, Becoming One is a class intended for engaged and newly married couples (up to 18 months). If you are engaged or a newlywed, come join us on sunday mornings at 9:15 as we study God’s plan for a Biblical marriage and fellowship with other couples going through the same life stages and changes. Silver Saints Singers Kickoff! Join us this monday, sept. 13, at 9:30 a.m. for refreshments and fellowship as the silver saints singers kick off their Christmas rehearsal season. All are welcome!

The Starting Line Whether you’re brand new to Northside or have been visiting for a while, this new class is for you! You’ll get an overview of our church, meet our pastors, and understand what membership means at Northside! The starting line will meet today at 12 p.m. in CFC 140. Music and Missions at Northside “Jesus is the sweetest name we know!” and we want to glorify Him through music and missions. Calling all kids 4 yrs. to 5th grade for another exciting season of learning music, drama and service to others. mark your calendar and join us upstairs in the main Building from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on sunday nights beginning tonight! Refresh, Renew, Refocus The ladies’ Home and Garden show is tonight from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the CFC! Representatives from Woodley’s Garden Center and especially for You will present tips to help you refresh, renew and redecorate your home and garden for Fall and Winter. Coffee and dessert will be served and door prizes will be available! Tickets are $5. Let Us Run... on Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Pastor Rocky is leading a series of classes that use a marathon metaphor to represent the spiritual race we run together. These classes will become the foundation for membership at Northside. We will share experiences that shape us into becoming more like Jesus so we too can “run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1. Help the Bereavement Committee The Bereavement Committee needs You to help by furnishing a vegetable, salad, dessert or when we provide a meal for a bereaved family. You will be contacted to help no more than every fourth funeral. We have already delivered 454 individual meals since Jan. 1, 2010! Thank you for you help! Christmas Concert Choir If you would like to be part of the Christmas Concert Choir, join us for rehearsals on Wednesday nights from 7–8 p.m. in the choir room. Northside Veterans Group If you are a veteran or the family member of a veteran you are welcome to attend our next veterans Group meeting at 1700) on sunday, 26 september in room 130 in the CFC. We’ll have coffee, drinks and snacks for you to enjoy. We typically meet for about an hour and we spend our time sharing stories, meeting new friends and enjoying a short bible lesson. Not a member of the group? No problem. Just show up and we’ll get you signed up. or, you can fill out one of the Northside Baptist veterans blue cards in the back of the sanctuary and drop it in the offering plate. Senior Adult Tailgate Ïellowship Join us for a fun evening of food and fellowship on Thursday, sept. 23, at 6 p.m.! Then to top it all off, we will enjoy a movie—The Blind side! sign up to come in your lIFe Group. You can also sign up to bring sandwiches or desserts. meat, salad and drinks will be provided.
