“God’s Call, Your Answer” January 25-29, 2010 In the next session, we begin to put the pieces together for what all of this means to our church and how we can apply missions to our daily lives and to our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Read Acts 20:24 and Joshua 24:15. 1. Write down the mission of Paul and Joshua. How are their missions similar? How were they different? 2. How can you apply these verses to your daily life? 3. Read James 1:22-25 (HCSB) and fill in the blanks. “But be _________________________ of the word and not _________________________ only, deceiving yourselves. Would you describe yourself as a doer or hearer of the gospel? Explain. If you are more of a “hearer,” how can you become more of a “doer?” 5. Rate your current involvement in each of the four mission fields listed below. (Ratings: Excellent, Good, Average, Below Average, Poor.) Explain what you based your decision on. Jerusalem ____________________________________________________________________________________ Judea _______________________________________________________________________________________ Samaria ______________________________________________________________________________________ Ends of the earth _______________________________________________________________________________ 6. Describe one specific action you are taking to reach each mission field. Your ends of the earth: Your continent: Your state/province: Your community:
